Kala Ramesh is a poet, editor, anthologist, and festival director. She is an ardent advocate of haikai literature, including haiku, senryu, tanka, haibun, haiga, and renku in India. She founded ‘INhaiku’ in 2013, edited seven international collections of haiku and tanka anthologies, organized six major haiku festivals, and initiated several successful projects. She teaches at the Symbiosis International University, and also school students at the Katha National Writers Workshop. Her book of haiku and haibun Beyond the Horizon Beyond (2017) was a finalist in the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize 2019 and received a certificate for “excellent contribution to literature’”. Her book of tanka and tanka prose is forthcoming.
