Sathya Saran is best known for her long association with Femina, which she edited for 12 years. She is also the author of several critically acclaimed biographies: of Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia, Ritu Nanda, SD Burman, and Jagjit Singh. Currently Consulting Editor with Penguin Random House, she also teaches fashion journalism at NIFT Mumbai, Kangra, and Srinagar. She has written a TV serial Kashmakash on marital problems. She is a columnist with The New Indian Express and reviews books for various publications.
