Kailash Satyarthi

Kailash Satyarthi received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 for his relentless “struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education.” Through his multiple organizations and campaigns, including Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Global March Against Child Labour, Global Campaign for Education, Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation, and Bal Ashram Trust he has liberated millions of children from child labour, slavery, trafficking, and other forms of exploitation and developed a successful model for their education, rehabilitation, and reintegration into mainstream society. His book Why Didn’t You Come Sooner? (2023) comprises moving stories of children rescued from slavery.
