Nilanjan Choudhury

Nilanjan Choudhury’s most recent novel Shillong Times (2018) is a coming-of-age- story set in the troubled hills of Shillong in the 1980s. His debut novel, Bali and the Ocean of Milk (2011), a mythological thriller, was a (very) brief best-seller. His subsequent writings include The Case of the Secretive Sister (2014), a contemporary detective caper, and The Square Root of a Sonnet (2016), a landmark play on the history of black holes, both of which received wide critical acclaim. He confesses to having studied at IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Kanpur and hopes that this will not be held against him.
