Alejandro Palomas is the 2018 recipient of Spain’s prestigious Nadal Prize for the novel One Love. He has an MA in Poetics from the New College of San Francisco and has translated Katherine Mansfield, Françoise Sagan and Gertrude Stein among others. He received the Spanish National Prize for Children & Young Adult Literature in 2016 for his novel Un fils (A Son). A writer in both Catalan and Spanish, he has authored screenplays, a poetry collection and ten novels including Una Madre (A Mother) and Un perro (A Dog), part of a trilogy which will be completed this year. His work has been translated into fifteen languages.
