Salil Chaturvedi is a writer, poet, disability activist, and lover of the margins. Apart from a lived experience in a wheelchair, he sailed a boat with a team from Mumbai to Goa in 2009 to raise awareness about access for disabled persons. He has acted in, and written for, the popular children’s television serial Galli Galli Sim Sim, and produced Shabduli, the first Konkani book in the DAISY format for visually impaired persons. He is a Trustee of Score Foundation, which works on issues related to visual impairment. His published works include three collections of poetry and a collection of short stories.
