Poorna Malavath

Poorna Malavath is an Indian Mountaineer. In 2014, at the age of 13, she became the youngest female in the world to climb Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. Subsequently, from 2016-2022, she scaled the seven tallest summits located in the seven continents. She graduated from the Telangana Social Welfare Residential School and went as an exchange student to Minnesota State University to study political science. The film Poorna: Courage Has No Limit (2017), and the book Poorna: the Youngest Girl in the World to Scale Mount Everest (2019) are based on her life.
