Nazia Akhtar

Nazia Akhtarcompleted her doctorate from the University of Western Ontario in 2013. She has written and presented extensively on literary representations of the transfer of power in Hyderabad. She has taught courses in language, literature, feminism and feminist theory at the University of Western Ontario, the University of Hyderabad and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad campus. She was awarded a New India Fellowship in 2017 to write her book on Urdu literature produced by Hyderabadi women in the mid-twentieth century.
