Sridhar, Madabhushi, currently Central Information Commissioner, Union of India, won one gold medal in law (LLB), four in journalism (MCJ), and received a doctorate in Media Law from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He worked as a journalist with Janadharma (1975), Eenadu (1977), Samachar Bharathi News Agency (1979), Warangal Vani Daily (1980-83), Indian Express (1984), Udayam (1984 to 1994) before shifting to teaching law. He became Professor of Law and also the Registrar at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He received the Best Teacher Award from the government of Andhra Pradesh in 2013. He published 30 books on law, journalism, and the Right to Information, and continues as a columnist.
