Márcio-André

Márcio-André is a writer, editor, performer, sound and visual artist. His poems have been translated into ten languages, appearing in numerous Brazilian and international anthologies, and inspired the short movie The Gospel According to the Sea, besides a documentary. He has taught advanced courses in creative writing and sound poetry at the University of Coimbra and has received the National Library Foundation Scholarship (Brazil) in 2008 for a book of essays. He works in the area of sound and visual poetry and has performed and exhibited in several countries and held a radioactive performance in the ruins of the ghost town of Chernobyl.
