Mamta Sagar, the founder of Kaavya Sanje: Poetry Collective, is a poet, playwright, and translator. She has published five poetry collections. Hide and Seek and Aankh Michaulee are compilations of her selected poems in English and Hindi. Her translation of Elif Shafak’s The Forty Rules of Love as Preetiya Nalavattu Niyamagalu won the Bhashabharathi Translation Award. She is associated with international translation networks such as The Commonwealth Writers Translation Network, Poets Translating Poets, and ‘Poetry Connections’ of Literature Across Frontiers. She has presented poems and facilitated poetry workshops internationally. She teaches at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru.
