Mamidi Harikrishna is a prominent Telugu poet, painter, writer, translator, historian, film maker, and film critic. His poetic style blends naturalism rooted in native culture with the cosmopolitanism of ultra-modernism. He has introduced “Fusion Shayaree”, a novel form of poetry, which represents our multicultural and multilingual lives in contemporary society. He has published innumerable articles in national and international periodicals on varied subjects and has edited more than 25 books including Telangana Harvest: Telugu Short Fiction 1912 -2011 (2017). He is a postgraduate in psychology and education. Currently, he is Director, Department of Language and Culture, Government of Telangana.
