Kalpana Mohan is the author of Daddykins: A Memoir of My Father and I (2019) and An English Made in India: How a Foreign Language Became Local (2019). Daddykins is a part of a creative writing course at San Francisco State University. Her stories, commentaries and humour columns have appeared in print and online publications such as San Francisco Chronicle, San Jose Mercury News, The Hindu. Her columns, “On Inglish” and “Desi Lens” won her a New America Media prize and several San Francisco Peninsula Press Club prizes. She also won a first prize in 2011 for the best one-minute book pitch.
