Jerry Pinto

Jerry Pinto is a poet, writer, editor, and translator. He has written Em and the Big Hoom (2012) which has been translated into Marathi, Tamil, Italian, and French. He has won the Windham-Campbell Award (administered by the Beinecke Library, Yale, USA), and the Sahitya Akademi Award besides the Crossword Award for Fiction and the Hindu Lit for Life Award. His recent novel Murder in Mahim (2017) won the REC-VOW award at the Dehradun Literary Festival and his translation of Baburao Bagul’s When I Hid My Caste: Stories won an award for fiction at the Bangalore Literary Festival.
