Himanshu B Joshi is a designer, writer/translator and director. He has designed lights for many plays, dance performances and painting exhibitions. The major plays he has translated include Salman Rushdie’s ‘Midnight’s Children’ directed by Abhilash Pillai and Lorraine Hansberry’s ‘Raisin in the Sun’ directed by Aniruddha Khutwad for NSD. Besides, he has also worked as a festival coordinator and technical coordinator for many theatre festivals across the country. A recipient of junior and senior research fellowship in theatre, he has directed a few plays and taught lighting and space designing in various institutions.
