Harsh Mander

Harsh Mander is a human rights and peace worker, writer, columnist, researcher and teacher. He works with survivors of mass violence and hunger, the homeless, and street children; organizes ‘Karwan e Mohabbat’ for solidarity with families affected by hate violence; and convenes and edits the India Exclusion Report. His books include Locking Down the Poor: The Pandemic and India’s Moral Centre (2020), Between Memory and Forgetting: Massacre and the Modi Years in Gujarat (2019), Partitions of the Heart: Unmaking the Idea of India (2018), Invisible People: Stories of Courage and Hope (2017), and Fatal Accidents of Birth: Stories of SufferingOppression and Resistance (2016).
