Ashok Tankasala

Ashok Tankasala is a journalist, writer, critic, and award-winning translator. He studied history and international affairs at Osmania University and JNU. As a journalist, he covered conflict zones like Punjab, J&K, and Sri Lanka. His publications include poetry, short stories, criticism, and translations from English into Telugu of biographies of Rajaji (by Rajmohan Gandhi), Radhakrishnan (by Sarvepalli Gopal), Maulana Azad (by Humayun Kabir), and PV Narasimha Rao (by Vinay Sitapati). His translation of Patel: A Biography (by Rajmohan Gandhi) won the Sahitya Akademi Best Translation Award. A Remembered Village (by MN Srinivas), Hinduism: An Alternative History.
