Alokparna Sengupta
Alokparna Sengupta is the Managing Director of Humane World for Animals India Foundation (formerly known as Humane Society International). She served on government and scientific committees, leading efforts to ban cosmetic testing on animals and improve farm animal welfare. A skilled trainer in animal law, she has trained magistrates, police, and advocates, and trained children from ages 4-6 to 12-15 on animal welfare. She worked with Thomson Reuters and FIAPO, and is a certified POSH trainer. She was featured in ‘Hundred and One Reasons to Get Out of Bed’ and has published a children’s story on compassion towards animals for Pratham Books.
