Luna Sicat-Cleto writes in Filipino, and has published two novels, Makinilyang Altar and Mga Prodigal. The Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for Literature, The Madrigal Gonzales Best First Book award, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines award are among the honours she has received. She has translated John Green’s An Abundance of Katherines (2015). Her fiction, poetry and essays have been widely anthologized including in Forbidden Fruit (1991), Paano Ba Magbasa ng Panitikan (2007), and 13 Pasaway (2014). She teaches creative writing and literature appreciation at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, where she is an Associate of the “Likhaan: UP Institute of Creative Writing”.
